surf camp in Morocco: the questions people actually ask us.

We get, by email, about a hundred and eighty messages a season. Twelve questions come back every time. Here are our answers, written the way we would write them to a friend who was wondering.

iquestion 01
what is the best season to come and surf?

The season runs from September to May: that is when the North Atlantic sends its long swells, with the water around nineteen degrees. Beginner or seasoned, the Mirleft coast has a wave for every level.

Even in the depth of winter we keep more sheltered fall-back spots for beginners — you can learn to surf here all year round.

iiquestion 02
do I need to know how to surf already?

No. The beaches around Mirleft offer gentle, forgiving waves, perfect for a first time, and every session is supervised.

Many people arrive having never set foot on a board. We start from wherever you are.

iiiquestion 03
how much is a week, and what is included?

The stay covers accommodation, full-board meals and supervised surf sessions. The transfer from Agadir is an option you add at quote stage. A thirty-percent deposit confirms the booking; the balance is settled fifteen days before arrival.

The detailed rates are on the stays page. We would rather give a clear price than a fake discount.

ivquestion 04
are children welcome at the camp?

Yes, children are welcome at the camp. For surf lessons it is from nine years old — below that, supervision and safety in the waves aren't quite there yet.

If you're coming as a family, tell us in advance; we adapt the room layout.

vquestion 05
can a woman travelling alone come?

Yes, and many do. The camp is small, the atmosphere warm and quiet: you're never a number in a big operation.

We arrange the transfers and stay reachable before arrival — so you can set off with an easy mind.

viquestion 06
do you offer yoga as well as surf?

Yes, as a paid option: a yoga session facing the ocean, to loosen what the waves have worked.

Supervised surf remains the heart of the stay; yoga, extra surf and excursions are added à la carte, as you like.

viiquestion 07
do you surf every day?

Supervised surf sessions, timed to the best moment of the day: the instructor reads the tide, the wind and the swell, so it may be morning, midday, afternoon or sunset, at the beach break twenty metres from the surf school. On arrival and departure days the session depends on your flight times. A second session in the day is possible as an option — extra supervised lesson or free surf.

viiiquestion 08
how do you get to Mirleft from the airport?

The nearest airport is Agadir (Al Massira), about an hour and a half away by road. We arrange the Agadir ↔ surf camp transfer in a private vehicle: €120 return per four-seat vehicle, added to the stay.

The road hugs the ocean: you already see the spots go by before you arrive.

ixquestion 09
is surf equipment provided?

Yes. Boards and wetsuits are provided on site, matched to your level and the season.

If you have a favourite board of your own, you're welcome to bring it — but nothing is required.

xquestion 10
are meals included?

Yes, full board: breakfast and dinner at the camp, home cooking, and lunch at the surf school's café-restaurant, facing the ocean.

We cater for diets (vegetarian, gluten-free) if you tell us when you book.

xiquestion 11
how long is a stay?

We offer three, five and seven-day packages at our surf camp in Mirleft, with a desert variant. Three days for a taste, seven to truly settle into the rhythm.

By the third morning something shifts: you start watching the sea rather than enduring it.

xiiquestion 12
can I cancel if something comes up?

Yes. More than thirty days before arrival, we refund everything you have paid. Between thirty and fifteen days, we keep 30% of the stay. Under fifteen days, the full amount is due.

If you fall ill on the day of your flight, write to us first: we have already refunded honest cases in full.
